MSU Solar System
This is my Solar System Project for the MSU course. The following changes were made:
- Add three new planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars)
- Add an extra Comet Spawner to make comet appearance more chaotic
- Add "Mysterious Eye" that also works as an extra source of light
- Add new camera view which represents the view from the "Mysterious Eye"
- Removed directional light and made sun brighter
- Changed skybox texture (generated by: https://tools.wwwtyro.net/space-3d/index.html)
- Changed the sound of earth to make it special
Originally planned to add more planets and make the scale 'realistic' with the help of NASA's reference guide (https://www.jpl.nasa.gov/_edu/pdfs/scaless_reference.pdf), however turns out that making it realistic ruins the 'nice' picture of the model, so Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptun were disabled. Distances between planets should have realistic ratios as well as planet size ratios should be realistic. However the size of sun was reduced as well as 'distance' to 'planet size' ratio was changed (otherwise planets would be too small to even see them).
